 BMW’s Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) monitors current traffic conditions, transforming the navigation system. RTTI is delivered over a comprehensive network of FM radio stations. Current traffic conditions are monitored by Command Centers, and verified for accuracy. Traffic information is gathered and continuously updated through the use of video cameras, speed sensors, digital scanners, air craft spotters, tipsters, police, and public transportation departments. The BMW radio tuner receives the data, and provides the driver detailed information on road conditions and route options displayed on the vehicle’s monitor.
